Sigh, what a wedding. Personally and professionally, this was one of those epic weekends of my life. My college friends reunited, we celebrated a lovely and beautiful and beautifully kind and present couple in one of the most beautiful places in the US, let alone the mitten. Be forewarned, I might say beautiful 100 more times in this post. I signed on to do this wedding back in 2012 when this couple asked me when they had little to go on with me but a wing and a prayer and their confidence in me. I am so happy I got to be a part of their beautiful wedding that was oh so them. I haven’t seen one done in the way that they did it ever, and I doubt I will see it again. Both Abby and Noah were present and connected in a personal way with their ceremony and guests. It was held at Camp Blodgett which is in West Olive, MI on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan. Have you ever been to Michigan, and specifically West Michigan? Wow, it is the best, you need to go.
Abby’s father passed away last year. Her something blue was a ring her mother received from her father many many years ago. Abby wore it next to her engagement ring on her pinky. Her sister did her make up and her mother helped her get into her beautiful dress while the room of sisters and mothers and aunts and nieces and friends and cousins watched with emotion and anticipation.
Noah got dressed in the basement with his guys.
They had beautiful details like gold rings on leaves. 3D printed paper cranes for cuff links. beautiful colored pocket squares and brown shoes with purple shoelaces.
Abby and Noah’s chef was Chef Tommy of www.tommyfitzgerald.com who did a rotating fresh menu throughout dinnertime and remembered everyone’s name he met all night long.
Their florist made beautiful bouquets and centerpieces including a variety of gorgeous textures and colors. LOVE!
